Hello,
Well it is a new year and hoping this year will be a time of healing and improving my own life. A lot happen last year and keeping up with I have done in the past, here are some highlights of 2008.
January, February, March
Not a whole lot went on in those months. We were still adjusting to being back in Huntsville and was still on the hunt for a new church. Jason found this really cool group called Free the Hops and was really having a great time being the social butterfly of the family for once. In February I found a OBGYN (whose is really good) and found possibility found the cause of why I had lost the baby 2 year ago and started to medication for that. Also I had lost my job at the autism center I was working for, but that turn out to become a bigger blessing then I thought.
April
Jason got the chance to go to his first beer trip to Chicago with some of his Free the Hops pals and I got to reconnect with old friend while he was away. I also started to learn a little bit more about horses and how the relate / compare with us humans. Really cool stuff. I also found an other job at that and was going home therapy on the side with children with Autism. I also was on my 1st Huntsville autism walk committee.
May
In May, we drove about 12 hours to Lynchburg, VA for my Graduation. I had already finished my Masters back in August of 2007 but was encouraged by a lot of people who love me to walk. Liberty University is a BIG school and it was so awesome. Chuck Norris spoke and just had a great time. Also in the May, Jason and I worked at our 1st beer festival and that was fun too.
June
On June 3rd, we celebrated our 8 year anniversary. Number 9 here we come =). June also marked the 1 year anniversary on us coming back to Huntsville.
July
God blessed me with a better job. I became an assistant teacher and sign language teacher at private christian pre-school in Huntsville. The age range of the children I work with is from 2 1/2 to 5 years of age. The class that I work in is made up with about 20 to 24 2 1/2 to 4 years of age. Also in beginning of July was got a new kitten and named her Rouge.
August
August was the month that we finally found a church home. Once we found it, it took the church in no time getting me working with the children. We also found a really good Sunday school class to go too.
September
September brought us surgery #2. Our sweet little kitten Rouge gave me Cat-scratch fever and now I have a nice cut under my chin where they had to drain the infection out.
October
October was a big and busy month. The 1st week of October, we went on cruise #3 and had a blast. I even got on stage and did a good job becoming Britney Spears. Also in October I turned 30 and Jason turned 31.
November
In November, we had the great flood and because of the great flood, we had to move to a new apartment within the complex. We even got to experience what a blessing it is to belong in a church that is big, but is there for you went you need them. Also we were able to go to Florida and see my family whom I had not seen in about a 1 and 1/2.
December
Well last month brought us a lot of new friends, newer challenges, and new relationships. One of the most unforgettable moments was my 1st Christmas program with the school I work for. I was allow to share my talents of knowing sign language by teaching our Pre-k and Kindergarten classes a song in sign language. Well the 1st part was going well until we (being the assistant principle and myself) found out that we downloaded a performance track instead of the CD version of the song When Love Came Down by Point of Grace. So I had to sing really loud the 2 verses and then had the kids sing the rest. Good times
So what about 2009?
2009 is already showing me changes in my job and how although I am already stressing over the a change that has not yet started, I feel that this will be a new step in my own personal life. That is already another story and when the time is right, I will blog about it. We are also praying that 2009 will be the year we start our family. In about a few days it will have been 2 years since I had mt Ectopic Pregnancy and still have not had great success in that area. I am still on my medication that the doctor is making me talk. I will not know until next month on the progress it is making or what the next is. As far as my job, I still plan being at the school for awhile. I love it there and even thought my class is going through a huge change right, who knows I may be able to move up to lead teacher someday (which I still have a lot to learn and I have only been there for about 5 1/2 months), but I am happy where I am right now. I know, I have a Masters degree but this is where I am needed.
Well I am sleepy and ready for bed. Love all of yall and HAPPY NEW YEAR
